MON A series of three specially commissioned stories inspired by MON London's Egyptian Hall - 'England's Home of Mystery & Many MON Illusions', which stood in Piccadilly for most of the 19th MON Century. The recordings were made in front of an invited MON audience at the Concert Artistes' Association in Covent MON Garden. The first tale is read by award-winning radio actor, MON Miriam Margolyes. MON London's Egyptian Hall was originally built in 1812 to house MON collections of curiosities brought back from the most remote MON and mysterious parts of the globe - from the South Seas, MON North & South America and Africa. But it soon became the MON venue for extraordinary spectaculars, panoramas and pseudo MON scientific demonstrations - such as Britain's first ever MON films, illusions, magic and freak shows. By the end of the MON 19th Century, it had become known as 'England's Home of MON Mystery and Many Illusions', under the management of the MON renowned magician, Maskelyne. It became the centre of magic MON and spiritualism where new acts were demonstrated and MON charlatans exposed. MON It is this rich legacy that has inspired these three stories MON - which are as quirky, mysterious and surprising as the MON curiosities themselves! WED In the 1990's Susan worked at the United Nations in Geneva WED on the Human Genome project. It was a project which looked WED at the increasing genetic databases that were being set up WED all over the world. It got her thinking - can you really WED encapsulate people in one scientific code? WED Susan thinks that the answer is no. Science is making great WED advances in coding human beings, but that's not what we are. WED Siblings share a genetic code but can be incredibly WED different.
